About the Role
Deritend, part of the Rubix Group, is recruiting a Workshop Engineer (Pump) in West Bromwich, West Midlands, on a permanent, full-time basis. Deritend provides 24/7 engineering services, repairing, overhauling, installing and maintaining industrial equipment for customers across multiple sectors. This multi-skilled role covers the installation, assembly, testing, commissioning, maintenance and repair of pumps and other industrial systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair, overhaul and maintain pumps and associated industrial equipment.
- Assemble and install industrial systems and components in line with job requirements.
- Test and commission equipment to check its operation and readiness for use.
- Investigate equipment faults and carry out appropriate repairs.
- Apply multi-skilled engineering knowledge across equipment such as motors, gearboxes, compressors and hydraulic systems.
- Complete engineering work safely and maintain clear records of work undertaken.
What You'll Need
- Practical experience in the maintenance and repair of pumps or comparable industrial equipment.
- Mechanical engineering skills, with the ability to assemble, inspect and troubleshoot equipment.
- An understanding of testing and commissioning industrial systems.
- A methodical approach to fault-finding and attention to detail.
- A commitment to safe working practices and reliable workmanship.
- The ability to work effectively with colleagues across a range of engineering tasks.
