About the Role
Octane Recruitment is recruiting a Vehicle Technician for a permanent position in a modern, high-performing workshop in Romford, Essex. This opportunity suits a skilled technician with a Level 3 qualification or equivalent who is keen to develop their career, with a fast-track route towards an MOT Testing licence. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm, with no weekend working.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and identify appropriate repairs.
- Complete vehicle inspections and quality checks to support safe, reliable performance.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any additional repair requirements.
- Follow workshop health and safety procedures and keep your work area organised.
- Take part in training and development towards an MOT Testing licence.
What You'll Need
- A Level 3 qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair, or equivalent.
- Practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to quality workmanship and safe working practices.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a busy workshop team.
- An enthusiasm for professional development and progressing towards MOT testing.
What's on Offer
- Basic salary of up to £40,000, depending on experience, with on-target earnings of £55,000.
- An uncapped bonus scheme with strong earning potential.
