About the Role
Halfords Garage Services is looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join its new Fusion Centre in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Upgraded with the latest facilities, the centre is designed to deliver a first-class customer experience and a great working environment. This full-time role involves working five days a week, with on-target earnings of up to £44,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
- Diagnose vehicle faults and identify the work needed to resolve them.
- Conduct MOT tests in line with current requirements and your authorisation.
- Complete accurate records of inspections, tests and repairs.
- Work with colleagues to deliver an efficient service and a positive customer experience.
- Maintain a safe, organised workspace and follow workshop health and safety procedures.
What You'll Need
- Relevant vehicle technician qualifications and practical workshop experience.
- MOT testing credentials appropriate to the role.
- Strong diagnostic, servicing and repair skills.
- A thorough approach to vehicle safety, quality and record-keeping.
