About the Role
Halfords is looking for an experienced Tyre Technician to join its team in Basildon, Essex. This full-time role is a great next step for a Tyre Fitter or Fast Fit Technician looking to develop their career within an automotive service, maintenance and repair business. You will work five days a week, with on-target earnings of up to £40,000 and an uncapped monthly bonus scheme.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out tyre fitting, replacement and related fast-fit work safely and accurately.
- Inspect tyres for wear, damage and condition, identifying where further work is needed.
- Use workshop tools and equipment correctly, following safe working procedures.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and check completed work before vehicle handover.
- Work with colleagues to keep workshop jobs moving efficiently and provide a helpful customer experience.
What You'll Need
- Previous experience as a Tyre Fitter or Fast Fit Technician.
- Practical knowledge of tyre fitting procedures and tyre safety checks.
- A careful approach to vehicle work, with strong attention to detail.
- A commitment to workshop health and safety.
