About the Role
Probe UK is advertising a permanent opportunity for an experienced Toolmaker / Tooling Engineer with a well-established, technically focused manufacturing business in Derby, Derbyshire. You will manufacture, assemble, maintain and modify specialist production tooling, working closely with engineering and development teams. The role involves taking tooling projects from initial drawings through to completed, production-ready tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture specialist production tooling to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Assemble and finish tooling ready for use in production.
- Maintain existing tooling to support reliable manufacturing operations.
- Modify tooling to meet changing production and development requirements.
- Work closely with engineering and development colleagues to resolve tooling issues and deliver completed projects.
What You'll Need
- Previous experience as a Toolmaker or Tooling Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings and translate them into finished tooling.
- Practical skills in tooling manufacture, assembly, maintenance and modification.
- A methodical approach to problem-solving and strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work collaboratively with engineering and development teams.
