About the Role
BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Technical Lead – Temporary Works to join its Temporary Works Centre of Excellence in a permanent, UK-based role. You will provide technical leadership across the business, helping to deliver safe, innovative and technically robust temporary works solutions for challenging infrastructure and construction projects. This strategic position offers the opportunity to drive engineering excellence and support BAM’s ambition to build a sustainable tomorrow.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on temporary works engineering across the business.
- Support the development and review of safe, practical and technically robust engineering solutions.
- Work with project teams to address complex temporary works challenges and manage engineering risks.
- Promote consistent technical standards and good practice through the Temporary Works Centre of Excellence.
- Share technical knowledge and encourage innovation and continuous improvement in temporary works delivery.
What You'll Need
- Strong technical expertise in temporary works engineering within infrastructure or construction.
- Experience providing engineering leadership and advising project teams on complex technical matters.
- A sound understanding of temporary works safety, risk management and relevant engineering standards.
- The ability to assess engineering solutions with a focus on technical integrity and practical delivery.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to influence colleagues and share specialist knowledge.
