About the Role
Polaris Community is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join its new school in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. You will be part of a supportive and nurturing community working together to achieve the best outcomes for pupils. This is a 12-month fixed-term, part-time position, working term time only on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers with classroom activities and the delivery of learning.
- Help pupils engage with tasks and build their confidence and independence.
- Provide individual and small-group support to meet pupils’ learning needs.
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Work with colleagues to share observations about pupils’ progress and wellbeing.
- Follow school policies and procedures, including those relating to safeguarding.
