About the Role
Outcomes First Group is recruiting a Teaching Assistant at Ryecroft School in Birchills, Walsall, West Midlands, WS2 7BH. You'll help students overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and engage in school life, working alongside teaching colleagues to provide classroom support. This permanent, term-time-only role is due to start in October 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students with classroom activities and help them engage with their learning.
- Work alongside teachers to support lesson delivery and meet students' learning needs.
- Help students build confidence and develop greater independence.
- Encourage positive participation and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
- Share observations with teaching colleagues to help inform ongoing support.
What You'll Need
- A patient, encouraging approach to supporting students who face barriers to learning.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- A willingness to work collaboratively and follow guidance from teaching staff.
- A commitment to students' wellbeing, safeguarding and inclusive learning.
- Availability to work the stated school hours and start in October 2026.

What's on Offer
- A salary of £22,160.62 per annum, not pro rata.
- A permanent, term-time-only contract.
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 4.00pm.
