About the Role
Sellick Partnership is supporting an organisation with the recruitment of a part-time Support Worker in Penryn, Cornwall, supporting people with mental health needs and issues relating to alcohol and substance misuse. This is a temporary ongoing contract for 22.2 hours per week. Shifts are scheduled between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Sunday.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand individual support needs and contribute to effective, person-centred support plans.
- Confidently complete risk assessments and manage identified risks.
- Provide support that responds to individuals’ mental health and alcohol or substance misuse needs.
- Work with colleagues to deliver consistent support and respond to changes in individual needs.
What You'll Need
- An understanding of supporting people with mental health needs and alcohol or substance misuse issues.
- The ability to identify individual needs and contribute to practical support plans.
- Confidence in completing risk assessments and managing risk appropriately.
- A compassionate, non-judgemental approach and clear communication skills.
- Availability to work part-time shifts within the stated Monday-to-Sunday rota.
