About the Role
Kier Group is looking for a Site Engineer – Civils to join its team in Calvert, near Buckingham, Buckinghamshire. This permanent role involves supporting the delivery of complex civil engineering works, including bridges, road realignments, earthworks, drainage systems, structures and associated infrastructure. You will work 45 hours per week, with some flexibility on hours available for discussion.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of civil engineering works on site.
- Carry out setting out and site engineering checks against drawings and specifications.
- Monitor the quality and progress of works, identifying and raising technical issues.
- Work closely with site teams and subcontractors to coordinate construction activities.
- Maintain accurate site records and support quality assurance documentation.
- Help ensure works are delivered safely and in line with relevant standards and project requirements.
What You'll Need
- Relevant site engineering experience within civil engineering or infrastructure construction.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical information.
- Practical knowledge of setting out, surveying and construction quality checks.
- A strong understanding of site health and safety requirements.
- Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- The right to work in the UK without sponsorship, as certificates of sponsorship are not available for this role.
