About the Role
ALDWYCH CONSULTING LTD is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a permanent opportunity based in Penrith, Cumbria, with a leading infrastructure contractor delivering major utility and energy projects across the North West. Joining an established commercial team, you will support the financial and contractual management of multiple projects. Your work will help maximise commercial performance while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and operational colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project costs, monitor expenditure and support accurate financial forecasting.
- Prepare valuations and commercial reports, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Support subcontract procurement, payment assessments and account management.
- Administer contractual requirements and assess variations and changes to project scope.
- Work closely with operational teams to support commercially effective project delivery.
- Build constructive working relationships with clients, subcontractors and colleagues.
What You'll Need
- Quantity surveying experience and the commercial judgement required for a senior role.
- A good understanding of construction contracts, cost control and financial reporting.
- Experience supporting subcontractor accounts and managing project variations.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a collaborative approach.
- The ability to prioritise workloads across multiple projects and maintain accurate records.
- Infrastructure, utilities or energy project experience would be advantageous.
