About the Role
Intersect Global Ltd is recruiting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor. This permanent role supports a long-term programme of water and wastewater projects across Sussex, with hybrid working available. You will provide commercial oversight to help deliver projects efficiently and maintain effective cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial and quantity surveying aspects of water and wastewater projects.
- Prepare cost forecasts, valuations and financial reports, monitoring expenditure against budgets.
- Support subcontract procurement and manage subcontract accounts through to final settlement.
- Assess variations and contractual changes, identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
- Work closely with project delivery teams, clients and supply chain partners to support successful project outcomes.
What You'll Need
- Experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, or substantial quantity surveying experience within civil engineering.
- Knowledge of water, wastewater or utilities projects and their commercial requirements.
- Strong skills in cost management, forecasting and commercial reporting.
- A sound understanding of construction contracts, subcontract administration and change control.
- Confident communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with project stakeholders.
