About the Role
Kier Group is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Structures team on the A417 Missing Link project at Air Balloon in Gloucestershire. You will contribute to the commercial management of this highways project, supporting cost control and effective project delivery. This permanent, full-time role involves 45 hours per week, with travel to the project office and some remote working.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the commercial management of structures works on the A417 Missing Link project.
- Prepare and review cost reports, forecasts and valuations to monitor financial performance.
- Manage subcontractor commercial matters, including payments, variations and final accounts.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities, working with the project team to address them.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and support compliance with contractual requirements.
- Work closely with delivery teams to support cost-effective progress and informed decision-making.
What You'll Need
- Relevant quantity surveying experience, with the ability to take on senior commercial responsibilities.
- A sound understanding of construction contracts, cost management and commercial reporting.
- Experience in civil engineering, highways or structures would be valuable.
- Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with project teams.
- Availability to travel to the project office in Gloucestershire.
