About the Role
Kier Group is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Thames Water – Maple Lodge STW team in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. Working on a major water infrastructure upgrade project, you will support and deputise for the Commercial Manager. This full-time contract role offers the opportunity to take a senior role in managing project costs and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Commercial Manager with the commercial management of the project, deputising when required.
- Manage quantity surveying activities, including cost planning, valuations and financial reporting.
- Monitor project expenditure and forecasts, identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
- Support the management of subcontractor accounts, payments and contractual changes.
- Work closely with project delivery teams to maintain accurate commercial records and support informed decisions.
What You'll Need
- Strong quantity surveying experience within construction or infrastructure projects.
- A sound understanding of cost control, commercial reporting and contract administration.
- The ability to manage subcontractor accounts and assess variations.
- Clear communication skills and confidence working with commercial and operational colleagues.
- The ability to take responsibility for senior commercial duties and deputise for the Commercial Manager.
- The right to work in the UK without sponsorship, as certificates of sponsorship are not available for this role.
