About the Role
Kier Group is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its STEP Programme team in West Burton, near Retford, Nottinghamshire. This permanent role will focus on the commercial management of package proposals and package delivery. You will work 45 hours per week, with some hybrid working and flexibility on hours available for discussion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial aspects of package proposals and delivery for the STEP Programme.
- Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets and commercial assessments.
- Monitor package expenditure and forecasts, identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
- Support procurement and subcontract administration, including reviewing valuations and variations.
- Work closely with project colleagues and supply chain partners to support effective package delivery.
- Produce clear commercial reports to inform project decisions.
What You'll Need
- Quantity surveying experience with the capability to take on senior commercial responsibilities.
- A strong understanding of cost management across proposal and delivery stages.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement and subcontract administration.
- Strong numerical, analytical and reporting skills, with close attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams.
- The right to work in the UK without sponsorship, as certificates of sponsorship are not available for this role.
