About the Role
Help shape an ambitious cultural transformation as Senior Principal Gifts Manager at the British Museum in London, with recruitment through Berwick Partners. The Museum is embarking on a £1.3 billion Masterplan to reimagine the institution for the 21st century while preserving its role as a museum for everyone. In this permanent role, you will help secure transformational philanthropic support for a major campaign with a £500 million fundraising target.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture relationships with prospective and existing principal gift donors.
- Identify opportunities to secure transformational gifts in support of the Museum’s Masterplan.
- Prepare compelling proposals that connect donors’ interests with the campaign’s ambitions.
- Work with senior colleagues to plan and support high-level donor engagement.
- Provide thoughtful donor stewardship and maintain a clear focus on long-term relationships.
