About the Role
TURNER & LOVELL LIMITED is recruiting for a Senior Civil Design Engineer for a permanent, UK-based role with hybrid working. Working within high-voltage transmission and distribution, you will lead the civil design of electricity substations across the UK from concept to completion. The role covers drawings, calculations and specifications for a range of civil structures and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead civil design activities for electricity substation projects from concept through to completion.
- Oversee the preparation and review of engineering drawings, calculations and technical specifications.
- Develop civil engineering solutions for substation structures and associated infrastructure.
- Coordinate civil design requirements with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
- Review designs for technical quality, constructability and compliance with relevant standards.
What You'll Need
- Experience in civil design engineering, including the delivery of electricity substation projects.
- Knowledge of civil structures and infrastructure within high-voltage transmission and distribution.
- The ability to lead design work across the full project lifecycle.
- Strong skills in preparing and reviewing technical drawings, calculations and specifications.
- Effective communication and coordination skills, with a thorough approach to technical problem-solving.
