About the Role
Join Avery Healthcare as a full-time Senior Care Assistant working nights in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. You will help residents receive compassionate, person-centred care while supporting colleagues throughout the night. Shifts run from 21:30 to 07:30 and include weekends and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Support residents with personal care and everyday needs, respecting their dignity, privacy and independence.
- Help guide the night care team to deliver consistent, person-centred support.
- Monitor residents’ comfort and wellbeing, reporting changes or concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate care records and contribute to clear handovers between shifts.
- Follow care plans, safeguarding procedures and safe working practices.
- Respond sensitively to residents who need reassurance or assistance during the night.
What You'll Need
- Relevant care experience and the confidence to support colleagues in a senior care role.
- A compassionate, patient approach that puts residents’ needs first.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- An understanding of person-centred care, dignity and safeguarding.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail when recording care.
- Availability to work full-time night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
