About the Role
Outcomes First Group is seeking a passionate SENCO to join Trent Acres in Kings Bromley, near Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire. You will help coordinate special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) provision, supporting inclusive practice and making a difference across the school. This permanent, term-time-only role is due to start in December 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate SEND provision to support pupils’ individual learning and development needs.
- Work with teachers to develop inclusive classroom practice and appropriate support strategies.
- Support the identification and assessment of pupils’ special educational needs.
- Monitor pupils’ progress and review the effectiveness of support and interventions.
- Build constructive relationships with families, colleagues and relevant external professionals.
- Help maintain accurate SEND records and support compliance with relevant statutory guidance.
What You'll Need
- A strong understanding of SEND provision and inclusive educational practice.
- Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
- The ability to guide colleagues and coordinate support across a school.
- Strong communication, organisation and record-keeping skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding, pupil wellbeing and positive educational outcomes.
- Existing eligibility to work in the UK; applications are open to UK applicants only, with no sponsorship available.
What's on Offer
- Salary of up to £42,500 per annum, depending on experience, not pro rata.
- A permanent, term-time-only contract.
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8.00am to 4.00pm.
