About the Role
Polaris Community is seeking an SEN Class Teacher to join its Polaris Education school in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The school has capacity for up to 84 pupils aged 5–18 with a range of complex needs, offering a safe and supportive learning environment. This is a full-time, term-time-only role working 37.5 hours per week, with a projected start date of September 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to pupils’ special educational needs and individual learning goals.
- Create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and progress.
- Assess and monitor pupils’ learning, adapting teaching approaches to meet their needs.
- Work collaboratively with support staff and other professionals to provide consistent support for pupils.
- Communicate with parents and carers about pupils’ progress, achievements and support needs.
- Promote pupils’ wellbeing and follow safeguarding policies and procedures.
