About the Role
Experis is seeking an experienced Backup Engineer for a six-month contract, with the possibility of an extension. Working remotely, with potential travel to Telford, Shropshire as required, you will join a Backup team delivering managed services and project activities across live, development and test environments. This is an SC-cleared role, and applicants must be willing and eligible to undergo the SC vetting process.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery and operation of backup services across live, development and test environments.
- Monitor backup activity, investigate failures and help resolve service issues.
- Support data restoration and recovery activities in line with agreed procedures.
- Contribute to backup-related projects and service changes.
- Maintain operational documentation and work with colleagues to deliver reliable backup services.
What You'll Need
- Experience working as a Backup Engineer in an IT service environment.
- A sound understanding of backup, restoration and recovery processes.
- The ability to investigate technical issues and support dependable service delivery.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to operational and project work.
- Willingness and eligibility to undergo SC vetting.
- Availability to travel to Telford when required.
