About the Role
Fortem is looking for an experienced Roofer to join its responsive repairs and maintenance team working with Amplius Social Housing group. Based around Rushden, Northamptonshire, the role involves roofing repairs and property maintenance across a broad patch of social housing properties. You will bring practical experience of slate, tile, pitched and flat roofing to help keep residents’ homes safe and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out responsive roofing repairs and maintenance on social housing properties.
- Work on slate, tile, pitched and flat roofing systems.
- Assess roofing defects and identify appropriate repair work.
- Complete work safely and to a good standard, keeping work areas tidy.
- Travel between properties across the area covered by the maintenance team.
- Communicate professionally with residents and colleagues about repairs.
What You'll Need
- Practical roofing experience across slate, tile, pitched and flat roofs.
- A sound understanding of roofing repairs and property maintenance.
- The ability to assess defects and carry out effective repairs.
- A safety-conscious approach, particularly when working at height.
- A reliable, respectful approach to working in and around residents’ homes.
