About the Role
Join RAC as a Roadside Vehicle Mechanic in Richmond, West London, and help keep the UK moving. In this full-time role, you’ll use your vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills to assist motorists at the roadside. Key Responsibilities
- Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Carry out roadside repairs where safe and practical.
- Explain faults and next steps clearly to motorists.
- Follow safe working practices and maintain accurate records of the work completed.
What You'll Need
- A Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance, or equivalent.
- At least two years’ relevant vehicle maintenance or repair experience.
- Practical diagnostic skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to work independently and make sound decisions at the roadside.
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- A flexible approach to demand-led shifts.
