About the Role
Join RAC as a full-time Roadside Mechanic in Ware, Hertfordshire, helping customers get back on the road safely. You’ll be part of the Harlow cluster, covering areas including Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Waltham Abbey, Epping and Hoddesdon. Work is organised locally so you can start and finish at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults.
- Carry out practical repairs where safe and appropriate to help customers continue their journeys.
- Explain faults and next steps clearly, reassuring customers during stressful situations.
- Follow safe working procedures when inspecting and repairing vehicles at the roadside.
- Maintain accurate records of diagnostic work, repairs and customer assistance.
