About the Role
Join RAC as a full-time Roadside Mechanic in Waltham Abbey, helping customers get back on the road when they need support. You’ll be part of the Harlow cluster, covering Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Waltham Abbey, Epping and Hoddesdon. Work is organised locally so you can start and finish at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend roadside breakdowns across your local coverage area.
- Assess vehicle faults and carry out appropriate roadside repairs.
- Explain faults and next steps clearly, reassuring customers throughout the process.
- Work safely at the roadside, taking care of customers, vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, repairs and assistance provided.

What's on Offer

- A stated base salary of £48,121.87, inclusive of night allowance.
- Local work allocation, allowing you to start and finish at home.
- An advertised salary of £60,000, with average OTE separately quoted at £43,000–£53,000; the applicable earnings package should be confirmed during recruitment.
