About the Role
Tarmac Trading Limited is looking for a multi-skilled Road Surfacing Operative (L2) to join its team based at Cross Green, Leeds. This hands-on, safety-critical role involves delivering high-quality road surfacing across Yorkshire and the surrounding region. The contract position is suited to an experienced operative who is confident operating surfacing plant and working as part of a team on major highways projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out road surfacing work to the required quality standards.
- Operate surfacing plant safely and within your training and authorisation.
- Work closely with the surfacing team to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Follow site procedures, safe systems of work and health and safety requirements.
- Carry out routine equipment checks and report faults, hazards or concerns promptly.
- Work across project sites in Yorkshire and the surrounding region.
What You'll Need
- Previous experience in road surfacing.
- Confidence and practical experience operating surfacing plant.
- A strong commitment to safety in a live construction environment.
- A focus on workmanship and delivering high-quality surfacing.
- A reliable, collaborative approach and clear communication skills.
- Willingness to work across the region from the Cross Green base.
