Contract: Full Time, Permanent Service: Ofsted Registered Children's Home We are recruiting on behalf of our client for dedicated Residential Children's Support Workers and Senior Residential Support Workers to join a growing provider of Ofsted-registered children's homes. Salary & Benefits Residential Children's Support Worker £13.50 per hour
£65 per sleep-in
Average 40 hours per week
Annual salary: £35,230 , including an average of 10 sleep-ins per month
Senior Residential Support Worker £14.50 per hour
£65 per sleep-in
Average 40 hours per week
Annual salary: £37,310 , including an average of 10 sleep-ins per month
Shift Pattern 10:00am – 10:00pm (day shift)
10:00am – 11:00pm followed by a sleep-in and morning handover
Average 40 hours per week
Approximately 10 sleep-ins per month
The Role As part of the residential care team, you will: Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people.
Build positive and trusting relationships that promote emotional wellbeing and resilience.
Support young people with education, social activities, life skills and independence.
Safeguard children and promote their welfare at all times.
Maintain accurate records, reports and daily logs.
Work collaboratively with families, social workers, schools and other professionals.
Support children to manage behaviours and emotions using therapeutic approaches.
Participate in team meetings, training and supervision.
Senior Residential Support Worker Responsibilities In addition to the above, Senior Residential Support Workers will: Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home.
Mentor and support Residential Support Workers.
Assist management with care planning, risk assessments and compliance.
Promote high standards of care, safeguarding and professional practice.
Requirements Essential Previous experience working within a residential children's home or a similar setting supporting children and young people.
Full UK driving licence.
Own vehicle.
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Ability to work flexibly, including sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays.
Good communication and report-writing skills.
