About the Role
BD Group is seeking an experienced Repairs Technical Supervisor to join its Repairs and Maintenance team in Barking and Dagenham. This full-time, fixed-term contract role involves managing the legal disrepair process from the first report through to final invoicing. You will oversee trade-specific, directly employed operatives and help ensure work meets organisational policies, regulatory requirements and key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage legal disrepair cases from initial reporting through to completion and final invoicing.
- Oversee and monitor the performance of directly employed trade operatives.
- Coordinate repairs activity, tracking progress against agreed standards and key performance indicators.
- Ensure repairs and case management follow organisational policies, procedures, regulatory codes and relevant legislation.
- Maintain accurate case records and communicate progress, issues and required actions to relevant colleagues.
- Identify technical issues and support their resolution to help deliver effective repairs.
What You'll Need
- Experience in technical supervision within repairs and maintenance.
- Knowledge of legal disrepair processes and the importance of accurate case management.
- The ability to supervise trade operatives and monitor the quality and performance of their work.
- An understanding of relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and safe working practices.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and track cases through to completion.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
