About the Role
Kier Group is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join its Building Solutions team in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. You will manage commercial resources to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts. This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week, with stated working hours of 08:30–17:00.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial resources to support project delivery and planned gross margins.
- Oversee the placement and commercial control of contracts and subcontracts.
- Monitor project costs, identifying financial risks and opportunities to improve commercial performance.
- Support valuations, cost reporting and the management of contractual variations.
- Work closely with project teams and subcontractors to maintain effective cost control.
What You'll Need
- Relevant quantity surveying experience within construction.
- A sound understanding of contracts, subcontracts and commercial management.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail when reviewing costs.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with project teams and subcontractors.
- The right to work in the UK without employer sponsorship, as certificates of sponsorship are not available for this role.
