Based in Manchester, you'll join a project team delivering technically complex engineering and infrastructure work, gaining valuable exposure to the commercial requirements of a highly regulated industry. Previous nuclear experience is not essential. We are particularly interested in Quantity Surveyors from MEP, mechanical engineering, building services, construction, infrastructure and energy backgrounds. If you're looking to broaden your sector experience and work on complex projects with long-term prospects, this could be an excellent next step. The Role You'll work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, contractors and suppliers, providing commercial support throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include: Managing project costs, budgets, forecasts and commercial reporting. Supporting procurement, tendering and subcontract negotiations. MEP & Mechanical Background Experience within MEP, mechanical engineering or building services would be particularly relevant. Knowledge of areas such as HVAC, mechanical services, piping, process systems, plant, equipment or specialist installation packages would be advantageous. This technical understanding can provide a strong foundation for managing the commercial aspects of complex engineering projects. Moving Into Nuclear This role is well suited to Quantity Surveyors who have built their commercial experience in another technically demanding sector and are now looking to transition into nuclear. You'll be able to apply your existing skills while developing specialist knowledge of nuclear projects, major infrastructure, engineering delivery and highly regulated environments. Nuclear experience is therefore desirable rather than essential. About You We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor with: Experience in Quantity Surveying or commercial management.
