Location: Blyth, near Newcastle Sector: Data Centres Project: Major Hyperscale Data CentreOur client is a leading data centre main contractor delivering a major hyperscale data centre development in Blyth, near Newcastle. This landmark project is being delivered over a 10-year phased programme and represents one of the largest data centre developments in the UK.They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, taking responsibility for the commercial management of construction packages and supporting the successful delivery of this major project.Responsibilities·Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of allocated construction packages.·Prepare, review and manage subcontractor procurement, tender enquiries and package negotiations.·Administer subcontract agreements, including valuations, payments, variations and final accounts.·Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow and commercial performance.·Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.·Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts, providing accurate commercial information to the project team.·Work closely with the project delivery team to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.·Ensure contractual procedures and commercial controls are followed throughout the project lifecycle.Requirements·Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.·Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within a main contractor environment.·Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement, commercial management and contract administration.·Experience working on large-scale construction or MEP projects would be advantageous.·Excellent commercial, negotiation and communication skills. xrexnqw PackageCompetitive salary / benefits package / long-term project opportunity.
