About the Role
Mactech Energy Group is recruiting a Quality Engineer (Civils) for a contract role at Sizewell C in Leiston, Suffolk. Joining the expanding SZC team, you will support quality assurance and control across civil engineering works on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects. This is an opportunity to contribute to a major energy development at the forefront of the UK's climate change agenda and energy policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of quality assurance and control processes for civil engineering activities.
- Review works and quality documentation against project specifications, standards and agreed requirements.
- Coordinate with site teams and contractors to support inspections and the recording of quality evidence.
- Identify and report non-conformances, supporting corrective actions and monitoring their resolution.
- Maintain accurate quality records and contribute to reporting and continuous improvement.
What You'll Need
- Experience in quality engineering, assurance or control within civil engineering or construction.
- An understanding of civil engineering specifications, inspection processes and quality management requirements.
- The ability to review technical documentation and maintain clear, traceable records.
- Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with site teams and contractors.
