About the Role
Spire Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an experienced Property Valuer for a busy, high-performing independent firm of Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. This contract opportunity is suited to someone who can combine sound property market knowledge with a confident, professional approach to clients. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, with Saturdays, 09:00–13:00, on a one-in-three rota.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out property valuations and provide clear, informed advice to prospective clients.
- Research local market conditions and comparable properties to support valuation recommendations.
- Build relationships with property owners and identify opportunities to secure new instructions.
- Explain the firm's property services and guide clients through the next steps.
- Maintain accurate valuation records and work closely with colleagues to support an efficient service.
What You'll Need
- Previous experience as a Property Valuer within estate agency or a related property environment.
- A sound understanding of the property market in Chesterfield and the surrounding area.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a professional approach to client appointments.
- A commercially focused approach and confidence in converting valuation opportunities into instructions.
- Good organisational skills and availability to work the stated hours, including one Saturday in three.
What's on Offer
- Basic salary of £29,000–£30,000, negotiated according to experience.
- Uncapped commission, with advertised on-target earnings of £33,000–£35,000.
