About the Role
VolkerStevin, part of the VolkerWessels UK Group, is seeking a Project Director for a permanent role in Farringdon, Central London. The business delivers complex civil engineering solutions across maritime, flood risk management, defence, energy, water and regeneration. As the business expands its presence in the energy market, you will provide senior leadership for project delivery, drawing on specialist expertise across the group to support an integrated, multidisciplinary approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for complex civil engineering projects.
- Oversee project programmes, budgets and resources to support successful delivery.
- Champion high standards of health, safety, environmental performance and quality.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and specialist input from across the group.
- Build effective relationships with clients, delivery partners and key stakeholders.
- Manage project risks, resolve delivery challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
What You'll Need
- Significant experience leading complex civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams.
- Sound commercial awareness and experience overseeing budgets, programmes and project risk.
- A strong commitment to safe working practices, quality and environmental standards.
- Confident communication and stakeholder management skills.
- An understanding of energy infrastructure delivery or relevant experience in a related engineering sector.
