About the Role
Marks Sattin Ltd is recruiting a Payroll Specialist for an 18-month fixed-term contract in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, with a salary of £35,000. You will support Payroll Team Leadership in delivering a high-quality payroll, pensions and expenses service. The role focuses on accurate, compliant processing, meeting service standards and improving processes through standardisation, automation and stronger controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support to Payroll Team Leadership to help deliver consistent payroll and pensions services.
- Support accurate and timely processing of payroll, pensions and expenses in line with relevant requirements.
- Help monitor and meet service-level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify opportunities to standardise processes and improve the efficiency of payroll operations.
- Support automation initiatives and strengthen controls to improve accuracy and compliance.
- Help investigate processing issues and contribute to continuous service improvement.
What You'll Need
- Experience in payroll operations, with an understanding of pensions and expenses processes.
- Knowledge of relevant payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to checking payroll information.
