About the Role
The Wolseley is seeking a Pastry Chef de Partie to join its kitchen team in St James's, London, on a permanent contract. Opened on Piccadilly in 2003, this respected all-day café-restaurant serves a wide variety of British and European classics. You will support the pastry section, helping deliver consistently high-quality dishes in a busy restaurant environment. The position includes varying shifts, including mornings and daytime.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present pastries and desserts to a consistently high standard.
- Organise mise en place and manage your section efficiently throughout service.
- Work closely with the wider kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of dishes.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safe working practices.
- Monitor ingredients, manage storage correctly and help minimise waste.
What You'll Need
- Relevant pastry experience in a professional kitchen and the ability to work at Chef de Partie level.
- Sound pastry skills and close attention to flavour, presentation and consistency.
- Strong organisation and the ability to remain focused during busy services.
- A good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
- A collaborative approach and flexibility to work varying shifts, including mornings and daytime.
