About the Role
Witherslack Group is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join Hall Cliffe School in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. This independent specialist day school provides education for boys and girls, offering an opportunity to help young people make meaningful progress in their everyday lives. You will join a setting that values and celebrates even the smallest positive changes. Both full-time and part-time applications are welcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess young people’s occupational therapy needs and identify appropriate goals.
- Plan and deliver interventions that support participation in learning and everyday activities.
- Work collaboratively with education and clinical colleagues to support each young person’s progress.
- Offer practical guidance on strategies and adaptations that promote independence.
- Monitor outcomes and maintain clear, accurate clinical records.
What You'll Need
- A recognised qualification in occupational therapy and current HCPC registration.
- An understanding of how occupational therapy can support children and young people in a specialist education setting.
- The ability to assess individual needs and develop person-centred interventions.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
- A commitment to safeguarding, professional standards and recognising small steps of progress.
