About the Role
Outcomes First Group is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Music Teacher/Instructor to join Lamledge School in Shifnal, Shropshire (TF11 8SD). Starting in January 2027, this fixed-term maternity cover role offers the opportunity to inspire pupils through engaging music teaching. You will work 23 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during term time only.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging music lessons that encourage pupils to participate and develop their skills.
- Adapt teaching activities to suit different abilities and learning needs.
- Support pupils in building confidence, creativity and enjoyment of music.
- Monitor pupils’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Work with school colleagues to maintain a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
What You'll Need
- Strong musical knowledge and the ability to share it through effective teaching or instruction.
- A creative, enthusiastic approach to planning and delivering learning activities.
- The ability to adapt your approach to meet individual pupils’ needs.
- Good communication and organisational skills, with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupils’ wellbeing.

What's on Offer
- A salary of up to £26,000 per annum, depending on qualifications, paid on a non-pro-rata basis.
- A part-time schedule of 23 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
