About the Role
HAYS Specialist Recruitment is recruiting a mechanically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a permanent, days-based role at a specialist manufacturing site in Bangor. This is a broad, hands-on position covering mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and general engineering maintenance. You will help keep machinery and equipment operating safely and efficiently, supporting reliable day-to-day production.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime.
- Undertake mechanical maintenance alongside electrical, pneumatic and general engineering work within your competence.
- Inspect equipment to identify wear, faults and potential safety issues.
- Work with production colleagues to prioritise maintenance needs and support efficient operations.
- Maintain clear maintenance records and follow safe working procedures.
What You'll Need
- Experience in hands-on maintenance engineering, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills.
- A working knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems, with an understanding of your limits of competence.
- A practical approach to preventative maintenance and breakdown response.
- A strong focus on safety, equipment reliability and effective teamwork.
