Fresh People are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer for a well-established fresh produce business based in the Tonbridge area of Kent.This is a permanent, Monday to Friday engineering position offering a salary of £50,000–£55,000 depending on experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across a busy fresh produce operation, helping to maintain machinery, equipment and site reliability.The RoleCarry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairsDiagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults across site machinery and equipmentSupport the reliability and performance of production and packing equipmentComplete electrical maintenance and repair work in line with current regulationsCarry out mechanical repairs including motors, bearings, pumps, drives and associated equipmentIdentify recurring faults and support continuous improvement initiativesWork closely with production and operational teams to minimise downtimeEnsure all engineering work is completed safely and efficientlyMaintain accurate maintenance and engineering recordsSupport wider site engineering and maintenance requirements as requiredThe PersonPrevious engineering experience within the fresh produce industry is essentialExperience working as a Multi-Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or similarStrong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledgeProfessional qualifications in electrical and/or mechanical engineering18th Edition electrical qualification is essentialConfident xrexnqw fault finding across both electrical and mechanical systemsExperience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance in a fast-paced production environmentAble to work independently and take ownership of engineering issuesStrong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approachHoursMonday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pmIf you have the required fresh produce engineering experience and would like to be considered for this opportunity, please apply today by sending your CV to Fresh People for consideration.
