About the Role
Join Halfords as a qualified MOT Tester in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, helping customers keep their vehicles safe and roadworthy. This full-time role involves working five days a week at a centre that is closed on Sundays. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MOT tests in line with current DVSA standards and requirements.
- Identify vehicle defects and accurately record test results.
- Explain test outcomes and any required remedial work clearly and professionally.
- Maintain a safe, organised working environment and follow workshop procedures.
- Work with colleagues to support efficient workshop operations and a positive customer experience.
What You'll Need
- A current MOT Tester qualification and the ability to carry out authorised testing.
- A sound understanding of MOT testing standards and vehicle safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail when inspecting vehicles and completing documentation.
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a busy workshop team.
