About the Role
Halfords is looking for a qualified MOT Tester to join its team in Guildford, Surrey. In this full-time role, you will carry out MOT tests and help ensure vehicles meet the required safety and roadworthiness standards. You will work five days a week at a centre that is closed on Sundays.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MOT tests in line with current regulations and testing standards.
- Identify and accurately record vehicle defects and test results.
- Explain test findings clearly and professionally to customers and colleagues.
- Maintain accurate testing records and complete the required documentation.
- Follow workshop health and safety procedures and keep your work area organised.
What You'll Need
- A valid MOT Tester qualification and the ability to carry out MOT testing.
- Sound knowledge of MOT requirements and vehicle roadworthiness standards.
- A careful, methodical approach to inspections and record-keeping.
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a busy automotive team.
