About the Role
Join RAC as a full-time Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR Division, delivering vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs through a mobile service. This opportunity is advertised in Marlborough, Wiltshire, and forms part of the Newbury cluster, covering areas including Newbury, Thatcham, Andover, Hungerford and Lambourn. You’ll combine hands-on technical work with customer service, helping motorists keep their vehicles in good working order.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mobile vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair work across the cluster area.
- Assess vehicle faults and identify appropriate repairs.
- Complete work safely and to a professional standard.
- Explain findings and completed work clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, servicing and repairs.
What You'll Need
- Practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently in a mobile role and organise your workload.
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- A commitment to safe working practices and attention to detail.
- The ability to travel across the service area and work the stated Saturday rota.
