About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR Division, delivering vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs through a mobile service. This full-time role is listed in Tonbridge, Kent, and forms part of the Maidstone cluster, covering areas including Maidstone and Medway, such as Chatham, Gillingham, Rochester and Strood. You’ll bring practical technical skills and a customer-focused approach to keeping vehicles running safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mobile vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs across the assigned area.
- Assess vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair work.
- Complete work safely and to a high standard.
- Explain findings and work carried out clearly to customers.
- Keep accurate records of servicing, inspections and repairs.
- Manage your daily workload while travelling between customer locations.
What You'll Need
- Practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently in a mobile role.

- Flexibility to travel across the Maidstone cluster and work the stated Saturday rota.
What's on Offer
- A base salary of £40,170, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000.
- A guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
- A full-time, 40-hour working week, with core hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and one in four Saturdays.
