About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR Division, delivering vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs in a mobile setting. This full-time role forms part of the Luton cluster, with the listing based in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire. You’ll combine technical expertise with a customer-focused approach, helping motorists keep their vehicles running safely and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs at customers’ locations across the assigned area.
- Diagnose vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Complete work safely and to a high professional standard.
- Explain findings and completed repairs clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and look after tools and equipment.
What You'll Need
- Practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic skills and a methodical approach to resolving faults.
- The ability to work independently in a mobile environment.
- Clear communication skills and a commitment to good customer service.
- A driving licence suitable for travelling between customer locations.
- Availability to work the advertised hours, including one in four Saturdays.
What's on Offer
- A stated base salary of £45,370, inclusive of London Weighting Allowance where applicable.
- On-target earnings of up to £57,000.
- Overtime and bonus opportunities, including a guaranteed overtime option, with the applicable pay arrangement to be confirmed during recruitment.
- A 40-hour working week, with core hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and one in four Saturdays.
- A full-time mobile technician role within RAC’s SMR Division.
