About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR Division, delivering mobile servicing, maintenance and repairs. This full-time role is part of the Leicester cluster, covering Leicester, Oadby, Wigston, Hinckley, Melton Mowbray and surrounding areas. You’ll combine practical vehicle expertise with a customer-focused approach, helping motorists keep their vehicles safe and reliable.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs at customers’ locations.
- Diagnose vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Complete work safely and to a high standard, following relevant procedures.
- Explain findings and work carried out clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Travel between appointments across the Leicester cluster.
What You'll Need
- Relevant vehicle technician experience and a sound understanding of servicing, maintenance and repairs.
- Practical diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- The ability to work independently and organise your workload.
- Clear communication skills and a professional, customer-focused manner.
- A driving licence suitable for a mobile role.
- A commitment to safe working practices and availability for the advertised Saturday rota.
