About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR Division, delivering vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs in a mobile setting. This full-time role is part of the Harlow cluster, covering Sawbridgeworth and surrounding areas including Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford and Waltham Abbey. You’ll combine practical technical skills with a professional, customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs at customer locations across the cluster.
- Assess vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair requirements.
- Complete work safely and to a high standard, following relevant procedures.
- Explain findings and work carried out clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs and checks.
- Manage your daily workload and keep tools and equipment ready for use.
What You'll Need
- Practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently in a mobile role.
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- A careful approach to safety, quality and record-keeping.
- Availability to travel across the Harlow cluster and work the stated Saturday rota.
What's on Offer
- A base salary of £40,170, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000.
- A guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
- A full-time, 40-hour working week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and one in four Saturdays.
