About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR Division, delivering mobile vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs. Based around Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, you’ll be part of the Esher cluster, supporting customers across the local area. This full-time role offers the opportunity to combine hands-on technical work with customer service in a mobile setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs at customer locations.
- Assess vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Complete work safely and to a high technical standard.
- Explain findings and completed work clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, servicing and repairs.
- Manage daily appointments and travel across the cluster’s coverage area.
What You'll Need
- Practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and organise your workload.
- A professional, customer-focused approach and clear communication skills.
- A suitable driving licence for a mobile vehicle technician role.
- Availability to work the advertised hours, including one in four Saturdays.
What's on Offer
- A competitive base salary of £45,370, inclusive of London Weighting Allowance where applicable.
- On-target earnings of up to £57,000, with overtime and bonus opportunities.
- A full-time, 40-hour working week, with core hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and one in four Saturdays.
- A varied mobile role within RAC’s SMR Division, working as part of the Esher cluster.
