About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR Division, delivering mobile servicing, maintenance and repairs across the East of England. This full-time role is advertised in Watford, Hertfordshire, with opportunities also highlighted in Bishop’s Stortford, Harlow, Hemel Hempstead, Luton, Norwich, Stevenage and Welwyn Garden City. You will combine practical vehicle repair skills with a professional, customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs in a mobile setting.
- Assess vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair solutions.
- Complete work safely and to a high standard.
- Explain findings and work carried out clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of servicing and repair work.
- Manage your daily workload across assigned locations.
What You'll Need
- Practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently in a mobile role.
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- A careful approach to safety, quality and record-keeping.
- Availability to work the stated schedule, including one in four Saturdays.

- A competitive base salary of £40,170, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000.
