About the Role
Join RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR Division, delivering vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs in a mobile setting. This full-time opportunity is advertised in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, with opportunities across the East of England. You will combine hands-on technical work with a customer-focused approach to help keep vehicles safe and roadworthy.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs at customer locations.
- Assess vehicle faults and identify appropriate repair work.
- Complete work safely and to a high standard, following relevant procedures.
- Explain findings and completed work clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, servicing and repairs.
- Manage your daily workload and look after the tools and equipment used for mobile work.
What You'll Need
- Practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

- Availability to work the advertised hours, including one in four Saturdays.

- A competitive base salary of £40,170, with on-target earnings of up to £52,000.
